• Special professional Japanese Hedge / Shrub Shears made by Okatsune in Japan. Made of high quality Izumo Yasuki Steel. the cutting edges are very sharp cut nicely. Excellent for topiary boxwood hedges. other various garden tasks such as trimming. shaping. thinning. etc. The shorter length handles are made of Japanese White Oak measure 12″ long. which is great for trimming close to oneself more control. Includes vinyl sheath for blade. No. 217 Okatsune Model.   Made in Japan.

     High carbon steel is tougher harder than stainless steels. making it ideal desirable for applications where durability is required where frequent regrinding is needed. Carbon steels are more durable have razor-sharp edges. is easy to re-sharpen as well when the need arises.

Therefore. it is important to try and keep your carbon steel blades away from moist or damp environments as much as possible. It is also a good idea to occasionally wipe the blade with a light oil. such as mineral oil from time to time. It is also a good idea to wipe the blade dry after each use.
